Glenorchy City Council looking for community members to join Dog Reference Group

Glenorchy City Council is reviewing its Dog Management Policy, and wants your help!

Under the Dog Control Act 2000, Council is required to have a Dog Management Policy. This policy includes information on how to be a responsible dog owner, information on dog fees and lets the community know the areas of Glenorchy that dogs are allowed on or off lead, or not allowed at all.

During July's Council Meeting, Council voted in favour of establishing a Targeted Reference Group for the duration of this project. A number of key stakeholders that have been identified will be invited to join, as well as three residents from the City of Glenorchy. Nominations will be sought for these three resident member positions, and we are looking for members of the community who have an active interest in the subject.

The Hobart Dog Walking Association Inc will be represented on the group.
