Kingborough Council recently passed an updated Dog Management Policy including an amendment allowing dogs off-lead access to the eastern end of Taroona Beach for the very first time.

The state Dog Control Act 2000 requires Councils to advertise changes to declared areas for dogs, and to call for public submissions over a 15 day period. This is a final administrative step to ensure the legality of the new dog policy.
